Early Life and Background

Born Hesam "Sam" Asghari on March 3, 1994, in Tehran, Iran, Sam is the youngest of four siblings. His parents, Mike and Fatima Asghari, raised him alongside his three sisters: Maddie, Elahe, and Faye. In 2006, at the age of 12, Sam immigrated to Los Angeles with his father, facing the challenges of adapting to a new culture and language. During his high school years at Westlake High School in Southern California, he was active in football and theater, participating in productions like "Hamlet" and "Macbeth." He later attended Moorpark College, where he studied criminal justice before pursuing a career in the entertainment industry. ​

Modeling and Fitness Career

Sam's foray into modeling began at 21, encouraged by his sister Faye. His debut runway appearance was for designer Michael Costello in Palm Springs. He has since modeled for various magazines, including Men's Health, Iron Man, and GQ. In 2019, he was honored with the Daytime Beauty Award for Outstanding Achievement in Fitness. Sam also founded Asghari Fitness, offering personalized training programs. ​

Acting Endeavors

Transitioning into acting, Sam made his film debut in 2018 with a cameo in the Star Trek parody "Unbelievable!!!!!" He has since appeared in various television shows, including "NCIS," "The Family Business," "Black Monday," "Hacks," and "Special Ops: Lioness." In 2025, he participated as a contestant in the third season of "The Traitors US." 

Personal Life

Sam gained significant media attention through his relationship with pop icon Britney Spears. The couple met in 2016 on the set of her "Slumber Party" music video. They announced their engagement in September 2021 and married in June 2022. However, they separated in July 2023, and their divorce was finalized in May 2024.

He has undergone significant personal transformations, including a 100-pound weight loss after high school.
